TERRABASE PAVING
On all work undertaken
Pay on completion
Quality Craftmanship Guaranteed
With No Strings Attached

Terrabase Paving is a driveway and paving contractor working across Royal Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding towns of west Kent, including Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tonbridge, West Malling and Kings Hill. We offer an expansive range of sofscaping and hardscaping services for homeowners who want a finish that suits their property and holds up over time.
Every job starts with a free property survey, so the price and the plan are based on the actual site rather than a guess over the phone or a photo. There is no deposit to pay upfront. The full balance is only due once the work is finished and the customer is happy with the result. All installations carry a five-year guarantee covering workmanship and materials, and waste from the old surface is cleared as part of the job through a licensed waste contractor.
The team behind Terrabase Paving has worked in driveway and paving installation for more than a decade and has completed hundreds of jobs for homeowners across Tunbridge Wells and the wider area. Public liability and employers’ liability insurance are held on every job, and every installer is part of the company’s own team rather than a subcontractor brought in for the day.

Below is our tried-and-tested process for achieving exceptional results for our local Tunbridge Wells customers:

Call, email, or fill in the website form to provide some information about the type of service you require. We will then get back to you to personally talk through what is needed and arrange a visit.

A free, no-obligation survey usually takes place within one to two days of your enquiry. During the survey, we gain an understanding of your requirements, price up the work, and provide any design or style advice you may have.

After the survey is completed, a written quote is provided covering materials, labour, and waste removal. There is no obligation to accept the quote, and no deposit is needed to book the work in once it is approved.

Terrabase Paving’s own team carries out the installation from start to finish. Once the job is complete and the customer is happy with the result, the five-year workmanship guarantee kicks in to fully protect you.

Terrabase Paving is based in West Kent and works mainly across Royal Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tonbridge, West Malling, Kings Hill, Staplehurst, Chatham, Ashford, and the surrounding villages.
Homeowners across these areas can request a free property survey and a written quote with no obligation to proceed. If you’re unsure whether we serve your area, please just get in touch, and we will be happy to let you know.
Ground preparation. The sub-base is the single most important part of the job, more important than the surface material itself. Skipping proper excavation and compaction is the most common cause of driveways sinking or cracking early.
It depends on the surface and how water drains from the property. Water must not be allowed to run onto the public highway or back towards the house, and where a non-permeable surface is used, a soakaway or another approved drainage solution is often required under current planning rules.
In most cases, no, but permission is generally required if a non-permeable surface over 5 square metres is being laid without separate provision for water drainage, or if the work affects access onto a classified road. It’s worth checking with the local council before work starts, particularly on larger driveways.
Where a driveway slopes towards a property, proper drainage is essential, and using the public storm drain without permission usually isn’t allowed. A soakaway is the typical solution, though the right approach depends on the layout of the specific plot. This is checked at survey stage.
Block paving and resin tend to sit at a similar price point, tarmac is usually the more budget-friendly option for larger areas, and patterned concrete needs periodic resealing that isn’t always factored into the upfront cost.
No deposit is taken. The full balance is only due once the work is finished and the customer is happy with the result.
Yes, every installation carries a five-year guarantee covering workmanship and materials.
Yes, waste from the old surface is removed as part of the job through a licensed waste disposal contractor, and the site is kept as tidy as possible throughout the work.
There’s no deposit to lose, which removes the usual risk of paying upfront and being left with an unfinished job. Every project also starts with a free property survey and a written quote, so there’s a clear, agreed scope of work before anything is booked in.
Terrabase Paving’s own team carries out the installation from start to finish, rather than bringing in subcontractors, so the people who survey the job are the same people who complete it.
The customer has the chance to review the finished work, and the full balance is only due once they’re satisfied. Payment on completion is the practical guarantee that the job is right before any money changes hands. Any issues after that are covered by the five-year workmanship guarantee.
